So, where is Merthyr Tydfil? If you've found us via the Church in Wales site you'll probably know that we are in South Wales, in the Diocese of Llandaff. If not, find England on a map. See that lump in the middle, sticking out to the west? That's it, the bump before you get to Ireland. That's Wales. We're in the bottom right, 20 miles north of Cardiff.

We are Anglican. (That's Episcopalian to our colonial cousins.) Our parish has 3 churches. Click on the names to find out more.

St David's Parish Church is a large building in the middle of town.

St Tydfil's Well Church is a small church a mile or so away in an area known as the Quar (because there use to be a small quarry there). The church is usually called The Quar Church to distinguish it from our third church

St Tydfil's, the Old Parish Church This officially closed in 1971 but is still used for occasional services and as a chapel of rest and funerals.
